Summer is here... and the kids have finished school for six weeks (nearly seven actually!). Now, this means one thing...
This year, our summer holidays were a little different. Our best friend Mick (who's actually on quite a lot of my videos - aka Scouse Mick!) turned 40... so we all went to Thailand to ...
We get some pretty cool stuff happening at my club Howley Hall, and a lot of club fitting days thanks to Ryan Rastall. Today was no exception as PXG came along!
Now, PXG... where do we start with PXG? They have made a huge noise since they came into the market, and already a lot of the worlds best players have put them ...
It's been a while since I've seen Rick, so this was a much needed catch up.
Generally, my game has been ok and I've certainly been striking my irons better, albeit not with the consistency I would want from round to round. However, there is a club in my bag that has been really misbehaving... THE DRIVER!
If you ...
Golf. Is. Hard. That is a fact!
Over the last few weeks, I really started to feel like my game was coming together. But... I cannot do it consistently! From one round to the next, there can be a 10 shot swing. How is that even possible???
What a bloody frustrating game this is! So, how do you become more consistent? ...
So... finally... something good to talk about!!
I played in a medal at my club Howley Hall GC on Saturday, which was one of the major competitions. The rain had been really heavy Friday and overnight, but it stopped just before we went out! Thanks the lord (of golf!).
My game was good. Really good. Apart from some ...
All work and no play, makes for an unhappy golfer! So, last week I tried to actually get out and do some practice.
So... that's exactly what I did! When I play at other courses, I seem to do fairly well and certainly have some reasonably good scores. However, when it comes to Howley Hall, its a very different story!
Golf. What a bloody game!!!
Having not played or practiced as much as I would have liked... I had two rounds in two days. I didn't really have that much expectation to be honest, but felt pretty good and completely refreshed.
My first round was at Doncaster GC, followed by the medal at Howley Hall GC. Wow... how ...
Putters. I always find it's a love hat relationship with them. Most recently, mine is mostly a hate relationship!!
Having struggled with my putter for quite a while now... I decided enough was enough, and get a new one! However, rather than going to eBay, I'd go and get one that was actually right for me, and my putting ...
A question I get asked a lot... well, maybe once or twice... it What's In My Bag.
In the past, I have been a little bit of an eBay golf addict. Yup, I was forever buying clubs that I thought would be good for me without trying them before realising they actually weren't and then selling them again! Thankfully... I have ...
So, my wife is turning 40... and we went to the very beautiful Palma in Mallorca to celebrate. Obviously... I took my clubs too!!
Whilst we did lots of lazy sun stuff, some pretty good eating and drinking.. I found time to play a couple of rounds of golf and review some courses for Golfshake.
The 63 hole Arabella ...
